Target Audience This program is targeted to office-based primary care providers and other health professionals with updates in primary care medicine Learning Objectives Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to: - Assess and manage abnormal uterine bleeding - Describe the management of abnormal pap smears and HPV - Describe approaches to counseling patients for making complex contraceptive decisions - Discuss menopausal transition and the risks/benefits of treatment options - Evaluate and manage common musculoskeletal problems and pain in the elderly - Describe risks and benefits of traditional pharmacologic agents for treating arthritis - Discuss interpretation of bone scans and identify risk assessment - Assess and manage gait disorders to prevent falls - Develop strategies for mitigating risky malpractice situations in practice - Describe how informed consent and shared decision making reduces risk for the provider - Identify adequate documentation samples that reduce risk to the provider - Describe strategies to incorporate AI tools to improve patient outcomes - Discuss mood stabilizing psychosocial and pharmacologic treatments of bipolar disorder as well as frequent co-morbid psychiatric disorders - Recommend appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment for depression - Describe strategies for identifying and treating substance use disorders - Review current evidence for the treatment of anxiety disorders
