Target Audience This program is targeted to office-based primary care providers and other health professionals with updates in primary care medicine Learning Objectives Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to: - Identify clinical practices shown to prevent cancer - Discuss the diagnostic approach to the patient with suspected cancer - Evaluate and manage risks of the cancer survivor - Describe the mechanism of action of new antiplatelet agents - Implement lifestyle changes as well as lipid and cholesterol guidelines for the prevention of CAD - Describe the work-up, risk assessment and test selection of patients with suspected CAD - Implement treatment strategies reflective of recent guidelines and current evidence based medicine for heart failure - Describe current diagnostic and treatment approaches to arrhythmias and atrial fibrilation - Describe risks and benefits of traditional pharmacologic agents for treating arthritis - Assess and manage gait disorders to prevent falls - Discuss interpretation of bone scans and identify risk assessment - Utilize current evidence to design treatment strategies for gout - Develop strategies for mitigating risky malpractice situations in practice - Describe how informed consent and shared decision making reduces risk for the provider - Identify adequate documentation samples that reduce risk to the provider - Describe strategies to incorporate AI tools to improve patient outcomes
